Development Advice and Support

ATN Strategies works with MR Developments to advance several major housing projects across rural HRM, with a primary focus on Upper Hammonds Plains and the Eastern Shore. These projects are designed to deliver inclusive, affordable, and sustainable housing for hundreds of Nova Scotians, including significant support for the development of hundreds of units led by the Black-owned, Black-led Upper Hammonds Plains Community Land Trust.

We provide strategic support across the full project lifecycle, including site identification, planning, permitting, municipal approvals, and stakeholder and government relations. Our role includes leading public engagement and communications to build clarity, trust, and transparency with residents, community leaders, and decision-makers.

Leveraging deep experience in affordable housing, ATN helps identify and structure partnerships with not-for-profit and community organizations to maximize affordability and long-term community benefit. This includes aligning projects with public funding programs and ensuring housing models reflect local needs and priorities.
