Throughout his career, he has contributed to the institutions where he has served as teaching and research staff by developing and teaching innovative curricula, fostering student engagement, and supporting the university's mission of academic excellence and community service. Dr. Utulu's research interests lie in communication research, media production techniques, media theory and ethics, and the intersection of faith, film, media, and communication. He is actively involved in several professional affiliations, including the Canadian Communication Association, Broadcast Education Association, African Council for Communication Education, Reading Association of Nigeria, and the Nigerian Institute of Management.
