Becca is a multidisiplinary researcher with a background in community economic development, public & stakeholder engagement, and sustainability. She recently completed her Master of Science in Management, where she advanced her qualitative and quantitative research and analysis skills with the support of the incredible faculty at Queen’s Smith School of Business.
Becca has experience driving local economic impact and development as an employee of the Downtown Halifax Business Commission (DHBC). As a core member of a small team, Becca arranged and participated in a wide range of strategic planning activities, culminating in the public unveiling of the Downtown Halifax Vision 2030. Through these experiences, she developed a deep appreciation for the complexity of public & stakeholder engagement, economic development, and long-term planning.
In her academic work, Becca explores the organizational drivers of engagement with corporate social responsibility; her work is deeply inspired by her commitment to advancing a more sustainable future, where businesses are a driving force of both economic and social progress.
