Adam Lordon (BComm) is a strategic planner, project manager, facilitator, communicator and community leader. He is the former Mayor of the City of Miramichi, NB and an award-winning media and television producer and director with over 20 years of experience in executive leadership, communications consulting, and creative project management. Adam was first elected as Mayor in Miramichi in 2016 as the youngest Mayor in the City’s history and served in the role for 10 years. He was a member of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Board of Directors, and the President of the Cities of New Brunswick Association for 8 years each.
Professionally he is a media and television producer and director with over 15 years of industry experience. His credits include as a Senior Producer on The Amazing Race Canada, an Executive Producer and director of several nationally broadcast projects and a decade of working as a director and producer on content and strategy with Tourism New Brunswick. He is also one of the Co-founders and Co-owners of the New Maritime Beer Company.
Adam is passionate about building united visions and strong strategic plans that drive positive change, especially for smaller and mid-sized communities. He has a proven track record of doing so during his time as Mayor in Miramichi including driving record levels of economic and housing development, population growth and inclusion, public space and asset renewal, community and youth engagement, transparency, and tourism.
He has successfully co-founded and grown businesses including a production company and craft brewery, built consensus and collaboration in leading the City of Miramichi, and been a project manager of creative, community, and business endeavors from concept development, to execution and completion.
Adam is known as strong communicator and story-teller who can distill complex subjects to make them accessible, and help build consensus, shared visions, and implementation plans.
