Vice President of Research and Strategy
Stephen Coyle is ATN’s Vice President of Research and Strategy. Stephen brings a diversified career background to ATN including a variety of senior-level positions in the provincial government and an assignment with the federal government. Stephen is driven to generate insights through enquiry and research to present a compelling story about growth that acts as a catalyst for positive and sustained change. He draws on a broad range of experience in management consulting and government. Stephen has been working as a management consultant – frequently serving as Project Manager – for the past decade.
Stephen’s areas of expertise include strategic planning, research and analysis, market research, organizational effectiveness and program evaluation. Stephen is a leader and collaborator focused on providing practical decision support and creating tangible results. Leveraging a wide range of research and planning tools, Stephen is committed to delivering the highest value and most cost-effective decision support to clients using multiple lines of enquiry.
Stephen has diverse cross-sectoral experience including public, private and not for profit organizations. Areas of focus and expertise include supporting Indigenous clients articulate and achieve their aspirations, tourism and immigration.
Stephen draws on three decades of experience in government, the private sector and academia. As Director, Research and Decision Support, with the Nova Scotia Tourism Agency he oversaw a team of research professionals ensuring effective use of the agency’s resources through ongoing measurement and evaluation. Stephen was also a senior policy analyst with the Nova Scotia Senior Citizen’s Secretariat.
